Summit Supports Shopping Local
Shopping local involves consumers buying day-to-day items from local businesses instead of going to a large company, retailer, or corporately owned entity.
Summit Heating and Cooling is a locally owned and operated HVAC Contractor that supports the #ShopLocal initiative. Whenever possible, we also buy supplies from locally owned vendors and use locally operating subcontractors such as Zucca Roofing, Williams Construction, Burlington Auto, Rev2, Ferrante Construction, Duct Doctor of KC, Hayes Insulation, Yates Electric, Ted’s Trash, City Scrap, Elite Insurance, GM Peters Insurance, and John the Plumber. When you shop locally, you are directly stimulating the local economy and helping shape your community’s character and personality.
Not only does Summit support local businesses, but we consistently support our local nonprofits that fill needs in our community that are near and dear to our hearts. We are significant supporters of Mother’s Refuge of Independence, -a homeless shelter for pregnant teens and their babies; Hope House – a local organization that supports abused women and their children; Northland Early Education – a local childcare and therapy center that provides service to children with special needs, many school districts, First United Methodist Church of Blue Springs, local youth sports teams, and food banks around the metro.
We are proud to be in Kansas City, operate in Kansas City, and serve in Kansas City. The Summit Family is grounded in the KC Metro area and are committed to its growth and improvement. We support our community, and when you partner with Summit, know that your money stays in Kansas City and is used to support our local community today and in the future.
Many homeowners don’t know the recent history of the local HVAC industry, which has completely changed over the last 3 to 5 years. Private equity groups are buying many of our local HVAC businesses. Many of these companies are owned and sometimes operated outside of our Kansas City area; thus, your money is leaving the metro and supporting the economy of other states. When you are shopping, you should know where your money is going and who you are supporting.
